The issue is titled: "90 ans d'excés - Joyeux anniversaire". The dress is by Azzedine Alaia, realisation by Carine Roitfeld & Gianvito Rossi. The issue arrived at home yesterday - December 13, 2010 - Published October 1, 2010. We live on the other side of the world to Paris but each issue is still worth the wait.
'that obscure object' covered the same fashion shoot, post dated Dec 13 (Monday), must be the same delivery wait for US issue also?
No - it was picked off Amazon News . . .

Dr Gael Phillips, a great client and collaborative artist with both of us, has been continually sending additional Tinsmith: Research our way. On seeing the crosses and X posts, Gael has sent in this mint pack of Cornish playing cards. The black area on the cross is the ore (and dark Spinel) and the white part of the cross is the tin!
Further research on St Piran's Flag is also supplied by Gael - her own photograph on her Christmas card this year.
Dear mal and barb,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for afternoon tea.
The playing card scan looks great on your blogsite. Thank you for posting my photo of Charlestown. I liked your annotations.
I tried to send you a photo of Bennett's cross on Dartmoor but I will have to convert it from tiff to jpeg.
A number of granite crosses were erected on Dartmoor in the Middle Ages so that travellers could find their way. I find Bennett's cross very evocative of the human form.
Take care on your journey.
Love and best wishes
Gael
