Bought in NYC at "Speakeasy": Bob and Rita Brand's eclectic shoe box of a store 1974 or '76.


yeah, forgot about the warning: . . . I'm suddenly back onto 'more circles' as I chanced upon this set scrounging for Xs.






. . . and they turn out to be Australian! - As black as the Ace of Spades - Coon Cards - A nigger boy with a watermelon - all the awkward stuff that in the late '80s, many sophisticated black Americans were buying up all over the world. Well this little white arse kept his tin pack of Hartley's Circular Playing Cards . . . what are they worth today? The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney has a set, I noticed.
