The Shene estate is an early Tasmanian heritage site owned by David and Ann Kernke, originally from Ipswich in Queensland and friends of ours. I've posted previously on the 'gothic' stables and just updated our last visit shots on my Tumble blog - here. Mutual friends and conservation experts, Allen and Linda Cooper are also friends of the Kernkes and Alan has designed and consulted most of the restoration as has the local architectural historian, Warwick Oakman.
