I've counted 37 initials carved on the exterior of our Tasmanian building

On the raw sandstone, northern facade . . .
One of the children of the Hazelwood family who moved in in 1941 - Rodney (curley) to everyone in the town. Other initials are incorporated in hearts and some still baffle me downloadable .pdf here

We started to sand and prepare the front and back awnings, the posts and column heads and before I could bring these initials (on the posts) to the attention of the two painters, they were filled with builders bog and then given two licks of exterior paint.
