I have collected three of these 'ironing ladies' - plastic made by MiP but my research has not thrown up much more info except for other figures
I started the day ironing two weeks worth of shirts and thought of these girls who are very much superseded now that irons have all those new features. I have now put them in my retro stock for sale at Tum'.vintage at Stafford, Brisbane.
mal, sorry about the long delay to my reply- but i have researched and asked vintage collector friends and we are all stumped! the only common thread was- they are not australian- otherwise they would have been recognised. best guess is 1950s american. and i like 'em! sorry i couldn't be more helpful. i will continue to keep an eye out. edwina
