A newer cross with an explanation

Our other house is way down in Tasmania, in the midlands half way between the two largest cities - Hobart to the south and Launceston in the north. The circa 1846 shop and residence is being taken 'back to Georgian' in our terms - rewired and all the lath and plaster is being lovingly repaired. I'm now onto the floorboards, some of which were ripped up to allow the electricians to lay newer cable throughout the building.
The cross marks a damaged board to be repaired and relaid which I have done this trip.
I've also completed the x5 sets of sash windows upstairs, all damaged panes reglazed, puttied and undercoated ready for the final white gloss coat of exterior paint.
