I have posted all my vesta cases and match related small antiques previously, here is an antique ventes aux enchères that was given to me recently

A bronze with traces of the original gilt - shown here before a clean. There can't be an allegory other than a 'harvest' story, the scythe and woven basket aside - all other creatures have made this their patch. The rat the snail and the bird's nest all close at hand. As with all my French animalia bronzes the signature is sure to be found on the inside of one or more or the composite pieces? The quality and patina is really divine, this gift is from the boys at Unique France in Brisbane as I do clock restorations for them and their clients . . . a big thank-you!
