Barbara and I were in direct competition for this gig when we were all briefed on the suburban improvement scheme by the Brisbane City Council. When we found out the artists in the competition we went for an intersection element that in fact rose and stretched over the three streets. The plan was for a funky mangrove over the most visible area in the community.
Anyway - Scott's concept got up, and three years down the track just before the fabrication he called me to assist him with the colour specs and the vector typography for the panels with type components.
